FYI

FYI:

While Rt 103 is now open for travel, the Memorial Bridge, Rt. 1 into Portsmouth NH from Kittery ME over Badger's Island, is closed to motorized traffic. Not usually noted, the bridge is also closed for riding a bike over it -- bridge is open for cyclist use only on the sidewalks, which are shared with pedestrians, and bridge signs state bicycle use prohibited on the sidewalk. So walk your bike over the bridge and enjoy the view of the Piscataqua from the bridge; at some point between now and 2014, it will be closed to all traffic as the old bridge is removed and a new one built. Supposedly, there will be bike access from Kittery to Portsmouth over the Sarah Mildred Long bridge, Rt. 1 Bypass -- we'll keep you posted.

Berger News:

WE ARE NO LONGER SERVING FROZEN YOGURT.

FRO-YO MACHINE IS SHUT DOWN FOR THE WINTER. NO YOGURT FOR YOU!!!

(yogurt sales to resume in the Spring, probably late-April)

...but we'll gladly serve you any number of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters flavors, brewed fresh in our single-serving cup-filter process machine. Have a coffee, relax at the table and chairs provided at the front of the shop, utilize our FREE WI-FI.

Winter is approaching. Last couple of years, we closed down during the darkest months, but this year, we're staying open. Yes, BERGER'S BIKESHOP WILL BE OPEN ALL WINTER!!!

SPECIAL DEAL! We bought a slew of leftover Trek Districts -- these are stylish belt drive single speed bikes. Trek offered these at closeout prices and we're happy to pass the savings along to you. Contact the shop for special pricing offer.

We have bikes and accessories on sale throughout the shop. Non-current model year bikes at 15-25% off. 50% closeout table. 10% off helmets. In-store specials, daily.

For 2012, look for our new focus to continue: transportation, casual, and functional cycling, rentals, and service. We'll continue to carry discounted non-current new bikes, consignment bikes, and the more affordable bikes in the Trek lineup that our sister-shop Trek Portsmouth does not carry. And offer a 5% discount on new bike sales to make up for the sales tax difference -- if you want to buy locally, we will happily match price on any bike Trek has to offer.

We remain your LBS,

Scott Berger
